Thousands of years of soil

2022

Three replicas of excavated vases dating back to the Bronze Age, of which some parts are still missing, are reproduced with the 3D printing process.

Mounted on individual tripods, each pot is complemented by LED spotlights and casts luminous projections that fill the surrounding walls and ceiling.

This dynamic interplay of light and shadow highlights the significance of the missing parts of these human artifacts created more than 3500 years ago and the relentless geological processes that shape our world.

The intricate processes occurring beneath the Earth's surface have molded the materials from which the pottery was originally crafted and clearly influenced their present-day forms. The artwork celebrates this profound interdependence between human endeavors and the natural forces that have shaped our shared history.
