A retired awning from an Athenian house, weathered over decades and marked by fungal colonization, is integrated into a system of lights, sensors, electronics, microcontrollers, and more.

The installation is activated by recordings of solar radio waves captured over a full day, years ago, while the awning was still in use. This archival record of the Sun’s activity and real-time data from the surrounding environment shape the installation’s behavior.

A choreography unfolds across the fabric’s surface through light, vibration, and heat. It becomes a site where material and biological traces, scientific data, environmental signals, and technological systems are brought into relation.

The data are drawn from the ARTEMIS–Jean-Louis Steinberg Radiospectrograph (ARTEMIS-IV) catalogue, which documents solar radio bursts across the 20–650 MHz frequency range.
